Why Atul Gawade Cancelled the Webinar

Sunday night about 9pm, Sheila called me and said "Have you seen the email?" Well, I was curled up with a book so had not checked emails. This is the email we received from the National Village to Village Network. Due to extreme weather, the Boston Pubic Schools, the Boston Public Library, and many other places were closing on Monday. The webinar was scheduled at the Boston Public Library, so therefore the webinar could not be hosted.

As this time, we are hoping to reschedule in the future, but do not have information at this time. Such as disappointment and we are so sorry not to have hosted this event.

FROM THE NATIONAL BOARD OF VILLAGE TO VILLAGE NETWORK To all Village Members in Santa Fe Hello everyone, Please understand that due to the severe winter weather in Boston it has become necessary that we cancel tomorrow's event. Boston Public Library, the venue where we were going to stream Dr. Gawande's talk, has already announced that they are going to be closed tomorrow. Due to this, the 15th Anniversary event of the Village Movement will not be able to go on as previously anticipated. We are going to do everything that we can to reschedule the event with Dr. Gawande. He is willing to be available on a date that will be far enough in the future that you can reschedule your watch parties and make it available to all of your members and community. At this time, we do not have anymore details than this. We will make them known as soon as we can. We sincerely apologize as we know that each Village put a lot of work into making sure this event happened. We wanted to let you know as soon as we found out.
