On Gratitude

“Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it” — William Arthur Ward

Click here to send a message to the Gratitude Wall. If someone in Villages helped you this year, take this chance to thank them. Express your gratitude, wrap it in words, and share with the Villages community.

As the holidays approach, do you feel anticipation or dread the coming time? This time of year frequently brings us physically closer to friends and family, but this closeness may not be all that thrilling . . .  but maybe it is the time to see the gifts that we have received during this past year.

Certain relationships are more challenging than others, but through each we have an opportunity to grow and help others do the same. Every relationship teaches us something about loving, trusting, forgiving, setting boundaries, taking care of ourselves, and taking care of each other.

Has someone in Villages helped you this year? Driven you to an appointment, helped with shopping, come to your home to visit or hang photos? Listened to you? If so, we would like to hear from you. Express your gratitude, wrap it in words, and share with the Villages community.

Just like writing a hand-written thank you note, acknowledge what you received, the value in terms of help and support you received, and thank them for their work.
