Try Hulu, Netflix, Acorn TV, CBS All Access Free for 30 Days

It certainly seems that the more channels you have the less there is to watch. Many of the streaming services are offering free 30-day trials. I pick out a series for binging and subscribe for 30 days. Don’t do everything at once.

  • You'll have to provide a credit card number

  • After the trial ends you'll start getting billed at the regular monthly rate

  • If you don't want to get billed, you need to cancel before the trial ends (set up a calendar reminder the day before)


NetFlix - Netflix has always had a 30-day trial. After the trial, subscriptions start at $9 a month.


Amazon Prime Video - Just sign in to your Amazon account and visit the Prime membership landing page. If you see a button that says Start your 30-day free trial, click it to sign up. Includes all Prime benefits, free shipping, video, music, Prime Day. You can also add many of the premium channels to your Prime account – HBO, Showtime, CBS All Access plus new movies to rent or buy.


Acorn TV - Get your daily dose of British TV, which is home to a wealth of Australian and Canadian shows as well. or annually ($60).

CBS All Access - Use code ALL (expires 4/23) when signing up. After that, you can continue for as little as $6 per month, commercial-free viewing and downloadable content costs $10.


Hulu + Disney + Espn – No free trial for the three pack, which is $12.99 per month.


Quibi – new original- content streaming. Free 90-day trial, so worth it. Quibi will cost $5 a month with ads or $8 without. Read our Quibi preview.

HBO is unlocking its biggest trove of free programming ever — in a goodwill gesture as people look for a diversion during the COVID-19 pandemic. The premium cable company is making almost 500 hours of programming available to stream for free for a limited time on HBO Now and HBO Go services without a subscription.
