Build strength, improve balance, and support healthy bones through safe, gentle movement.

This class is designed for adults with osteoporosis, osteopenia, or anyone interested in maintaining bone health as they age. Using a combination of seated, standing, and optional floor-based yoga postures, participants will work on strength, flexibility, posture, balance, and body awareness in a safe and supportive environment.

The class begins with gentle warm-up movements and breathing exercises, followed by carefully selected yoga poses that promote muscle strength, bone health, stability, and improved posture. Participants may use a chair for support and balance as needed. After approximately 45 minutes, those who wish may continue with optional floor work, while others may remain seated or conclude their practice.

Research suggests that regular weight-bearing and strengthening activities can help maintain bone density, reduce the risk of falls, and support overall mobility and independence. The class emphasizes proper alignment and movement techniques that are appropriate for individuals concerned about bone health.

Suitable for beginner to intermediate participants. Modifications and options are offered throughout the class so everyone can participate safely and confidently.
