Bandelier Announces Public Programs for Summer 2021

Bandelier National Monument is such a treasure. Just an hour's drive from Santa Fe transports you into another world. It's suitable for all levels of exercise. The main loop is paved and has very little elevation gain, but if you want a workout, climb all the ladders. The Alcove is 140 feet of climb. Hikes from 1-6 miles are right here in the canyon. I have an American the Beautiful pass so entry is FREE.

Here are some amazing programs offered at Bandelier this summer. Hope you take advantage of this great resource.

Los Alamos, NM – Bandelier will begin offering a variety of programs to the public this summer. “As covid restrictions have relaxed, Bandelier is anxious to provide the programming visitors want so they can learn more about this park’s amazing resources. We invite the public to include one or more of these activities in their planned visit to Bandelier,” says acting superintendent Dennis Milligan.

Cultural Demonstration Programs- Bandelier will be offering weekend cultural demonstration programs again this summer after a hiatus last year due to covid. Demonstrations will be held most weekends from now through Labor Day weekend behind the Bandelier Visitor Center from 9:30 AM to 4 PM. Craft items will also be for sale.
