Medicare.gov is an outstanding resource, but it can be overwhelming. Hospitals like Christus St. Vincent and Presbyterian compete for Medicare patients and if you have coverage through one, you probably can’t get treated at the other. Good to know, especially since Presbyterian Hospital in Santa Fe does not have a cardiac unit.

Selecting the right Medicare plan is NOT easy (especially the first time when you turn 65). A most important point that Medicare.gov fails to tell you is that making a mistake can wind up being very costly for you.
